Original story (published on March 6, 2020) follows:

It seems like, Mi A3 users are just not able to see the bright light of the day when it comes to Android 10 updates. Terming them one of the unfortunate users among all of Xiaomi users would not be wrong.

A lot was said about the Android 10 update for the Mi A3. Earlier it was said that the phone will get the Android 10 update in mid-February then, it was revealed that the update was for select users in India.

Then it was stated that the update will arrive in March because it is still under testing. After a whole lot of confusion, finally, the Android 10 update was rolled out by the end of February.

But just when users of the Mi A3 were soaking in the features of Android 10, the update with version number V11.0.7.0.QFQMIXM was pushed back, citing several bugs and issues related to the fingerprint scanner and others.

After putting the users in a spot of dilemma, Xiaomi developers then came out and said that they are working on fixing the fingerprint and other issues while side by side working on a proper build of Android 10 for the Xiaomi Mi A3.

The situation got so worse that Xiaomi Mi A3 users (even Mi A2) users were officially warned by Xiaomi not to roll back to Android 9 Pie because it could cause adverse defects on their phones.

The update is expected to fix the fingerprint, battery and other issues that the previous build brought in for the handset.

Now, you might be wondering, why the OEM has pushed a beta update instead of a stable one? Well, it seems like Xiaomi does not want to delay the update anymore and wants to ensure that things are in place and there are no major bugs before pushing the final stable Android 10 update for the users.

This also hints the users of Mi A3 that the stable update might release soon in the coming days.

As always, the update is pushed via OTA and you can also go ahead and check for it manually under Settings. Let us know in the comments below if you also grabbed the update or not?
