[Re-released with March patch] Xiaomi keeping users confused about Mi A3 Android 10 update

Probably the most unfortunate users among all of the Xiaomi users would be the Mi A3 users. They have been waiting for the Android 10 update for an extended period of time and the situation is still not clear as of yet.

Point to note is that the previous-gen Mi A2 has already been served with the Android 10 update while the users of Mi A3 are demanding answers as to why their newer and more powerful device hasn’t received Android 10 yet its older sibling has.

However, back in January, it was revealed by Xiaomi India that Mi A3 will be getting Android 10 in mid-February. Matter of fact, in an interview, Xiaomi’s Marketing Head, Sumit Sonal also claimed that the rollout will be completed by mid-February.

But later it came out that the update is pushed only to select number of units (10,000 to be exact) in India.

Again a few days later, it was reported that according to the customer rep the Android 10 update was still in testing and the stable build might arrive in March. This added fuel to confusion.

And cut to now, in line with this confusion, according to a conversation between a user and Xiaomi’s customer support reveals that the Android 10 was rolled out only for beta testing.

Moreover, a day later another user had a chat with the customer support which tells us that the update is ready to be rolled out, however, they are still not sure about the exact date and time.

This has created a whole lot of confusion in the minds of the customer as the customer support or the company has not been able to come up with a final date for pushing out the Android 10 update for Mi A3.

We are as confused as the users of the Mi A3 are, and we will keep you updating once we have more concrete information about this regard.
