This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (published on March 25) follows:

Among the Asus ZenFone Max lineup, the OEM has already pushed the Android 10 beta updates for its Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 and Max Pro M2, back in January 2020.

And although it is way past the time frame where Asus should have rolled the Android 10 stable updates for both the devices, the update for Max Pro M1 is still under evaluation while the Max Pro M2 beta update is surfaced with bugs.

Thanks to the open-source nature of the Android OS, Android 10 based LineageOS custom ROMs are available for both the Max Pro M1 and Max Pro M2 handsets. LineageOS 17 is also available for the Asus ZenFone Max M1.

Another smartphone from the Max lineup, i.e. the Asus ZenFone Max M2 is still awaiting the Android 10 update. Matter of fact, Asus has not even pushed the beta update for the Max M2 smartphone.

Now, it seems like the Taiwanese company has got a template to dodge the questions regarding Android 10 updates for its devices. Because, as per a new development, Asus has put the Android 10 update for the ZenFone Max M2 off the cards stating that the plan is still “under evaluation“.
