New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

You know no other mobile platform can match the level of customisation Android offers. For the same reason, OEMs can transform their user interfaces to the way they like. And, users can override many presets as well.

There are hundreds of Android device manufacturers in the market. For standing out from the rest, some of them equip their phones with custom overlays (Xiaomi’s MIUI, OnePlus’s OxygenOS, Huawei’s EMUI, Oppo’s ColorOS).

Both Oppo and Realme use ColorOS on their handsets. Although the latter had plans to release their own interface, the company head recently put an end to the discussion by saying they would only be having an exclusive stock-like ColorOS 7.

As you can see, the company is going to bring dark mode to Realme X. Also, we spotted a separate thread about this on the official forum. They have already delivered the feature to Realme C2, Realme 3 Pro& 5 Pro, Realme 1& U1 in the last few days.

In case you are naive, Oppo released Android 10 with ColorOS 6 on top for Reno users as a beta build. Yeah, it’s not ColorOS 7 (don’t forget the build is still in the testing phase)! An official published an elaborate post about the new features coming to the platform on the forum.

He made it clear that the images were taken from a device running on ColorOS 6.7 (test build) on top of Android 10. The interesting attributes include floating apps, smart side bar, and a few others. Most probably, we can see them live in action by the time ColorOS 7 goes public.

Update (October 30)

As promised, system-wide dark mode is now available for Realme X after installing the latest software update. The OTA is currently rolling out in China as well as in India.
