Realme has a decent list of smartphones under its belt. And it is one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands not only in India but globally as well.

The fact that the company never shies away from bringing in new design elements and innovation in its devices, has been one of the major factors in achieving such a feat for the brand.

Not only in the hardware’s perspective but Realme is also going all out for updating its devices, be it security updates or even the firmware updates. Besides, it was one of the first few brands that came up with an Android 10 update roadmap.

Keeping up with this, Realme has pushed new updates for its Realme 1 and U1 smartphones. Moreover, the latest updates bring in the latest October 2019 security patch along with some goodies like Digital Wellbeing, system-wide dark mode and more.

Let us take a look at the updates one by one in more detail.

Realme 1

Realme launched Realme 1 in 2018 and since then the device has gotten numerous updates. For a refresher, it is powered by the Helio P60 chipset paired with 3/4/6 GB of RAM.

The device offers a single 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP selfie camera. Under the hood, it houses a 3,410 mAh battery and sports a 6-inch IPS display.

Talking about the update, it carries version number CPH1861EX_11_C.45. Below is the official changelog along with the screenshot of the update:

Realme 1 October Update

Note that the update brings in a lot of new features and enhancements like realme Laboratory, new UI changes, and other optimizations.

Realme U1

Another 2018 Realme phone that has received the major update is the Realme U1. Realme U1 got the August update in September but it also brought in system performance enhancements and optimizations.

Cut to now, the latest update carries a version number RMX1831EX_11_C.15 and bring in quite a handful of new features.

This new update adds Google Digital Wellbeing and also optimizes the camera as well. Other notable changes include UI optimization and dark Mode – similar to Realme 1.

Note that the update is being pushed via OTA and will take some time in hitting all the devices. However, you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings>>Software Updates>>Check for new updates.
