Samsung backported a bunch of Galaxy Note 10 exclusive software features for Galaxy S10 owners via the latest update for the global Exynos powered variant. From new camera modes like AR Doodle or Night mode in selfie camera to improved DeX features, the OTA brought nothing but joy!

Cherry on top: September security patch

Talking about September patches, the Korean OEM rolled them out for the US Snapdragon powered Galaxy S10 units quite a few days ago. The carrier locked model (SM-G97xU) even had it via an ‘unofficial’ channel, long before actual rollout.

However, AT&T is maintaining a separate software update path for a while. As a reason, the leaked package can’t be flashed on AT&T Galaxy S10e/S10/S10+ running August patch (ASGK). The carrier did roll out September update for Galaxy Note 9 and Note 10 family, but the S10 lineup was left behind.

Not anymore though! They finally started to rollout the September patch for both the regular and 5G Galaxy S10 variants. The size of the incremental patch is nearly 200 MB, as they are not shipping any new feature (like the international units) – just new patches.

On the other hand, we have some good news for US carrier unlocked Galaxy S10 owners. The latest September update (build number BSGL) reportedly enabled the required flags for AT&T VoLTE. Remember, Wi-Fi calling (aka VoWiFi) is still not supported.

No wifi calling on S10, only VoLTE. Yes VoLTE works on Sept update.

Let’s hope AT&T will continue the saga and deliver Android 10 based One UI 2.0 update for Galaxy S10 series right on time.
