EE is the largest mobile network operator in the UK and it offers several Android phones that may bag the upcoming Android 11 update. But before taking a look at the list of eligible devices, let’s first check out a few details surrounding Android 11 and its release.

Like most Android announcements for the past few years, Google was expected to reveal Android 11 at its Google I/O event. But the rapid spread of COVID-19 led to the company canceling its plans for the in-person event.

Instead, Google released the first Android 11 beta for the Pixel devices with a brief announcement on Reddit. OnePlus was the next vendor to follow suit and released the beta for its flagships. Soon after, OEMs such as Xiaomi, Oppo, and Realme also released the Android 11 beta for their flagship phones.

By the beginning of July, the Android 11 beta was already available on 13 devices from 7 vendors. But that’s not all, Tecno Mobile also joined these major OEMs and released the beta for the Tecno Pouvoir 4. This goes to show that Android vendors have begun taking OS updates a lot more seriously than a few years ago.

On that note, let’s now take a look at possible Android 11 eligible phones offered by EE in the UK.

EE UK Android 11 update: Eligible devices

This list of devices has been put together based on past trends and update cycles from OEMs. Most brands tend to release at least 2 major OS updates for their phones. Although, there are exceptions such as OnePlus and Google who release 3 OS updates.

Further, it’s also possible that a device that’s not listed here may bag the update. That being said, it’s also too early to provide a ETA for the arrival of the stable Android 11 update on any of the devices listed here.

Although, we can safely assume that the eligible Google Pixel devices will get the update first. To know when other vendors begin rolling out the update for their devices, you can check out our Android 11 update trackers for OEMs such as Xiaomi, Vivo, Huawei/Honor, OnePlus and Realme.

Additionally, we’ve also listed Android 11 eligible devices from carriers such as Fido, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, Rogers, TELUS, O2, Three, and Bell.
