New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 14, 2020) follows:

OnePlus was one of the first Android vendors to release the Android 11 beta update for its OnePlus 8 series. The company has an excellent track record when it comes to providing updates. Therefore, it was no surprise to see the OnePlus 8 series get the beta update before any other non-Pixel phone.

Users who managed to get their hands on the early developer preview got a chance to try out Android 11 before most other users. And until most bugs and issues have been ironed out and the stable build is ready, the beta testing will continue.

It’s been a few weeks since the company released the update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. And now, OnePlus has officially announced the Android 11 Developer Preview 2 for both the aforementioned smartphones.

This new update brings forward fixes and improvements and brings the development a step close to the stable update. Of course, there aren’t any major noticeable changes with the Android 11 beta 2 update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.

Moreover, users who are looking to install the latest beta have to beware of a few known issues. We’ve listed the issues below:

1) All data will be cleared while flashing the build
2) Certain UI screens look less than desirable
3) Some camera functions are not available
4) Some apps may not function as expected
5) System stability issues

Once you’ve understood the risks involved with installing the update, you can download the Android 11 beta 2 for your OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro via the links below.
