Original story (published on March 16) follows:

Quite a good number of Android smartphones have been receiving new software updates that enable the VoWiFi calling feature on India’s Reliance Jio and Airtel carriers.

More recently, the feature has found its way to devices like OnePlus 6/6T, Realme X2, Realme 5/5s/5i, Realme 1 and U1, Realme X and Realme 5 Pro, Realme 3 Pro and Realme XT, among others.

While this was happening, the best users of Huawei Honor devices got was a promise of a future update to enable VoWiFi calling on their units.

Of course, at no point did the company give a specific release date, but a few weeks ago, it revealed that the feature was indeed under development.

Well, the wait is seemingly over, at least for those rocking the Honor 8X. Apparently, the company is lining up a new software update for the handset that will not only install an updated February security patch but also enable Honor 8X VoWiFi calling feature.
