OPPO subsidiary Realme is on a roll. Over the past few days, the company has pushed the updates to Realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10 to the Realme 3 Pro and Realme XT in India.

Heck, folks using the Realme 3 Pro have even picked up a second Android 10 build with bug fixes and performance improvements. This shows you just how much effort the company is putting into providing users with a bug-free environment.

That’s a long way to go from now, but it doesn’t seem like you’ll have to wait that long, at least for early adopters. Folks in China who submitted their interest to try the new Realme X2 Realme UI 1.0 skin based on Android 10 ahead of the official rollout can now do so as I write this.

The beta recruitment into the program opened last week and now the OTA update is rolling out to those who successfully registered their Realme X2 handsets.

For a start, the incoming Realme X2 Realme UI 1.0 update is targeting 500 beta testers. In early February, another 2,000 will be admitted into the program. The airborne update is rolling out as version C.02 and from the look of things, early adopters are loving it.

Since then, it's been a parade of Android devices (with a sprinkle of iOS), culminating in a mostly happy marriage with Google's smart home ecosystem. Expect insightful articles and explorations of the ever-evolving world of Android and Google products coupled with occasional rants on the Nest smart home ecosystem.
