New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on January 8, 2020) follows:

Realme X2 users are a lucky lot. The phone already picked up the December 2019 security patch, alongside various features like dark mode quick toggle, enhanced Nightscape mode for front camera and font changing support.

Before that, the Chinese variant of the same device received even more feature updates and bug fixes. Seeing this from a Chinese phone-maker is refreshing, bearing in mind that a few years ago, devices from such OEMs rarely got updated.

At the moment, all Realme devices are powered by ColorOS – an Android skin originally developed by OPPO. Word has it that the new Realme UI will also be based on ColorOS. To what extent, however, we don’t know.
