Among the enlisted ones, phones like Huawei Mate 10, P20, P20 Pro, Honor 10, Honor V10/View 10 and Honor Play have already been bumped to EMUI 9.1, while rest await the same. Going by the latest information, now another Huawei phone is receiving the latest EMUI – Mate 10 Pro is in spotlight.

EMUI 9.1, as you may know brings ARK Compiler, GPU Turbo 3.0 & EROFS support apart from a revamped UI to enhance the overall performance of the OS. Among the Mate 10 lineup of phones, just last week, the OEM released the latest EMUI 9.1 for Mate 10 devices (APL-L09).

Part of Huawei’s Mate lineup of devices, Mate 10 is the company’s 2017 high-end phone that’s fueled by a HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor. Cut to now. This week, Mate 10’s Pro kin is receiving the latest EMUI 9.1 update. The information comes credits to some Mate 10 Pro users on Redditor and Twitter.

While some got the update notification, others reportedly grabbed it through the HiCare app. Reports are basically coming from Mate 10 Pro users in the European and Asian region. Following are some of the reports:

To any one that haven’t gotten the update through the regular software update area, you can go to the hicare app and see if it’s available. I’m on BLA-L29 and just got 9.1.0.300

Yesterday, while travelling through Latvia I received a notification to update to 9.1. It was very fast and smooth.

The currently rolling out EMUI update bears build number 9.1.0.300, weighs ~3.8GB and brings along the latest July security patch. GPU Turbo 3.0 and EROFS support are also included apart from the usual EMUI 9.1 goodies.

A Twitter user (@benchpayla) who installed the update on their Huawei Mate 10 Pro unit via HiCare even shared a couple of screenshots with us. Image on the left shows the update’s availability on HiCare app and the right one shows the download screen, displaying the firmware number.

As is usually the case with firmware updates, they are rolled out in phases, so EMUI 9.1 may take time to reach out to all Huawei Mate 10 Pro devices. Those of you who don’t wish to wait for OTA can register at HiCare (if not done already) and grab it manually on their units.

Happy installation! Feel free to drop a comment and share with us your EMUI 9.1 experience.

NOTE: The company recently shared the EMUI 9.1 update HiCare registration dates for multiple Huawei/Honor phones> you can find the complete coverage here. And for more Huawe-related updates, news, bugs/issues, interested readers may route here.
