This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (published on April 2) follows:

As we get deeper into the development cycle of Android 11, Android 10’s market share continues to grow. That is because more and more eligible devices have been updated at this point and many new devices come running Android 10 out of the box.

Some manufacturers, especially those with many devices on their support list, are still trying to push our Android 10 to the remaining eligible devices. One such OEM is Realme.

Back in November 2019, Realme came out to release its roadmap to Android 10. A detailed timetable of how the company was planning to update the devices in its eligible list, to Realme UI 1.0 that is based on Android 10. You can read more about that here.

True to the company’s schedule, a good number of Realme devices have already been updated to Android 10. These devices include the likes of the Realme 3 Pro and the Realme XT Pro.

These devices were supposed to get updated to Realme UI 1.0 back in January and true to the company’s word, the devices received the OTA to Android 10, right on time. You can read more about that here.

The same happened with the rollout of Android 10 to the Realme 5 Pro and the Realme X. These updates were due in February, and the company also delivered that in time. Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro were due in March, and as expected, the update rolled out in time as well.

According to the timeline, the next device in line for the Realme UI 1.0-based Android 10 update is the Realme 3 and the Realme 3i. If the above-mentioned devices are any indication of what we should expect from realme, then the update should roll out pretty soon.

Thanks to a response to one user by Realme Support, we have confirmation of the same.

This could actually be true, seeing as we have earlier reports indicating that the Realme 3 will not have any beta builds, but will instead be directly updated to Android 10.

According to Realme Support, Realme 3 and Realme 3i users should expect an update to Android 10 on their devices in the next few weeks as the company plans to start rolling out the update in Mid April 2020. Some other reports have it that the update might be rolled out in May.

That said, seeing as to just how consistent Realme has been in updating the other devices to Android 10-based Realme UI 1.0, we should expect the company to stick to the roadmap that the previous updates have been following. With that, our bet is the Realme 3 and 3i will indeed see an update to Android 10 in April.

This is an impressive fete by Realme, especially considering that the world is currently dealing with the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic and many governments are on lockdown.

We shall keep an eye on this story and update accordingly once the update rolls out and we shall have the download links for manual installing.
