Xiaomi has been consistently improving its in-house custom skin — MIUI — with regular updates for both system and system apps especially for devices running on MIUI 12.

MIUI System Launcher, Gallery app, Music Player, and a bunch of other system apps get frequent add-ons from the developers.

Alpha updates of MIUI Launcher in the past have brought countless enhancements and trendsetting features alike.

This time around, Xiaomi has a stable MIUI System Launcher to offer. It comes with version number v4.19.2351 and brings along the most sought out features for devices on MIUI 12.

A plethora of more exciting features was also a part of alpha builds but sadly, they haven’t been ported to the stable version of the launcher yet.

MIUI Launcher is famous for its customizability and the addition of an app drawer makes it customizable in the true sense.

An automatic categorization option for the app also comes along with this update. Work has also been done to ease the search operations in what Xiaomi calls, “in a snap”.

Being a stable update, users can directly find it via their System App Updater/GetApps. But who likes to wait? We have a download link for you to get a taste of what’s inside the box this time.

Here’s the changelog of the new MIUI System Launcher v4.19.0.2351:

What’s New:
– Added App Drawer
– Categorize apps automatically
– Find anything you need in a snap.

It’s incredible to see Xiaomi putting an equal amount of effort into enhancing the user experience through system app updates.

However, as seen from the changelog, many features that were teased in the early builds seem far away from sight. But hopefully, these features will eventually find their way to the stable builds.

Some stirring beta features worth a look at are Horizontal recent menu, animation in/out recent task, blurred app previews in the recent menu, Gaussian Blur on Android 11, and a host of more features like these.

Next is to see a quick and wider rollout of this update for devices running on MIUI 12.

With that, we hope to see more such developments in not only chunky MIUI updates but also in the system apps domain.
