OPPO has published an updated timeline for when owners of various devices can expect to receive the ColorOS 7 update based on Android 10 back in China.

This is just one of the impacts of the coronavirus outbreak in China, where the company’s initial ColorOS 7 update rollout plans were affected. For keen followers, you’ll also know that Xiaomi, Realme and OnePlus devices also delayed receiving updates due to the deadly virus.

It’s also said that AnimeJapan 2020 may be canceled for the same reasons. Heck, even the entire MWC 2020 show has been called off for fears of spreading the virus, so yeah, it’s understandable that OPPO is also making some adjustments to the initial rollout plans.

OPPO made the news official via the ColorOS community (China) and even though the writing is in Chinese, we can still get some finer details of what’s contained in the screenshot above.

Apparently, ColorOS 7 update begins rolling out this weekend, February 22 to the OPPO K5 and next week, February 26, to the Reno Z handsets.

On March 10, the update will be made available for the OPPO Reno Ace/Reno Ace Gundam, Reno 10X Zoom, Reno Barcelona Edition, Reno 2, Find X series, and the OPPO R17 series. The Reno 2Z, for some reason, will have to wait until somewhere around March 31.

Some of these devices are already beta-testing ColorOS 7 ahead of official rollout, among them the Reno, Reno 10x Zoom, Reno 2, R17 and R17 Pro, and even the F11 and F11 Pro.

As it has always been the case with software update timelines, the company reserves the right to change these dates whenever they feel like, but we hope not. Even so, we can only wait for the ColorOS 7 update to actually arrive.
