Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 30, 2022) follows:

Nowadays, it seems that it’s very common for various bugs and issues to frequent Twitter. Users of the app are often reporting a new issue every now and then.

This time, the issue seems to be about the Twitter appeal forms for suspension. According to reports, users are unable to fill an appeal form.

Twitter appeal form not working

Many Twitter users (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) are facing an issue where Twitter appeal forms are not working. They simply keep getting an “unable to process your request due to your account being locked” error message.

My main account got locked because I changed my birthday and I can’t even submit the required form to appeal it because I keep getting this error message saying “unable to process your request due to your account being locked”. What am I meant to do??
Source

My actual account was locked. I tried to fill out the appeal form, but after I do the human verification, it tells me I can’t submit because my account is locked and then it gives me a hyperlink- to the appeal form and it just Keeps going in that cycle.

Whenever a user tries to submit an appeal form for suspension, a ‘visit our appeals form’ link reloads the same page stating that the account has been suspended. This seems to have stuck users in an endless loop.

The issue is quite absurd as filing an appeal doesn’t seem to work even after actually submitting an appeal form.

There are also some users who find it ridiculous that the follower count issue is somehow more important to Twitter than the appeal form not working issue.

@TwitterSupport It’s ridiculous the appeal form not working isn’t a priority but somehow follower count is more important! Users are bringing interactions on the site and you repay with wrongful suspensions and then ignore and decline appeals

Official acknowledgment

Fortunately, Twitter has acknowledged the issue and stated that the team is working on a fix.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only issue Twitter users have had to deal with in the recent past. Recently, a large chunk of users started reporting an issue with Twitter email verification process.

Twitter sending expired verification codes and Twitter ‘Related Tweets’ feature also drew a lot of criticism from tweeps.

Nevertheless, we hope that these issues get permanently fixed alongside the one that the users are currently facing. We’ll keep tabs on further developments and update the article accordingly.

Update 1 (Sept. 27, 2022)

04:48 pm (IST): One of our readers has suggested that users will need to manually enter the email address. And this way they will receive a success message.

for anyone else that lands here, I was getting the “oops something went wrong” when trying to submit an appeal, I needed to manually enter my email address instead of the A*@**.om that pre-populates, and then I got a success message. TY
