Twitter 'Email already registered with account' issue being looked into, confirms support

My main email address is “in use by a Twitter account” but I never made one until just now. I would like to connect this account to my main email address (please help). I can’t reclaim an account I don’t believe I ever made.

@TwitterSupport hey. My other account requires I verify my email, but my account doesnt have an email. When I put in any email (even a new one) it says its already registered with another account, so I cant access my account. Any help please? This is an issue on your end

Users are frustrated as this issue prevents them from gaining access to their accounts using email. Many have even tried resorting to verifying their accounts using a new email address but to no avail.

@TwitterSupport one of my friend account need to verify since the account doesn’t have a confirmed address. How to fix this issue? Tried to enter the email address but it says the email is used even tho the email is new address.

@TwitterSupport i’m trying to log into my account but it says i have to verify my email, i’ve tried several different emails and created new emails but no matter what email i use, it keeps saying the email is already in use when it’s not
