The OnePlus Nord represented a new trajectory from the company whose devices had since been dubbed flagship killers.

Unlike all other OnePlus devices that came with the highest-end internals available in the market, the OnePlus Nord skimmed off a little bit, going for Qualcomm’s higher mid-range 765G chipset.

The device came with the company’s Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 out of the box and initial reports indicated that we’d see it get updated in November 2020, which was never to be.

However, OnePlus managed to finally roll out Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 to the OnePlus Nord at the beginning of March 2021, 5 months after it was expected.

True to what is quickly becoming OnePlus fashion, we saw the update rollout halted owing to bugs and issues, only to be re-released as OxygenOS 11.1.1.2.

Well, after taking this long and even suspending rollouts, OnePlus ought to deliver a pretty decent Android experience to users, right?

Well, not quite. Already, we have seen a few bugs and issues that are troubling users, one of them being delayed notifications.

Now, it is coming to light that the OnePlus Nord gaming experience has taken a hit following the update to Android 11-based OxygenOS 11.

Before this update my game used to be very clear and no frame drops. It used to run very smoothly. But now after updating to Android 11 i found my screen calibration is changed to advance and set it to normal. Even after that also iam getting super lag in my game. Its like as iam playing in some 4 gb ram mobile. Mine is 8gb 128rom oneplus nord. Please check it out, it’s worrying me very much.

Fortnite is almost impossible to play because of the frequent lag. Didn’t have any problems before updating to OS11.

A quick scroll through the community forums and you will come across users of the OnePlus Nord facing various issues when gaming on their units.

Many of these issues have to do with lag and dropped frames when playing popular titles such as PUBG and Call of Duty COD.

Now days after os 11 was launched it was stopped by OnePlus then u guys fixed it and started os 11 distribution again but after os 11 a lot of games have been showing dropped frame rate/ lag which was not the issue in os 10
It is still not fixed please find a solution for this problem.

This issue has been reported from users who managed to update their devices when Android 11 officially rolled out (the pulled update) and those on the re-released OxygenOS 11.1.1.2 alike (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).

At the time of writing, OnePlus was yet to issue a report or an acknowledgment of the same so users will have to continue dealing with this.

We shall continue to closely follow this issue and update as and when we get more info so stay tuned.
