Original story (published on October 21, 2020) follows:

Android 11 has been out for a little over a month at this point. A few devices like Google’s own Pixel line and the OnePlus 8 series have already been updated.

Other OEMs are working on the development and deployment of their respective Android 11 skins and you can check that out here.

The OnePlus Nord was unveiled back in August and it offers users on a budget a great smartphone experience with little compromises.

The device came with Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 out of the box and therefore, it is in line for an update to OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 operating system.

With it being such a new device in OnePlus’ portfolio, one would expect the OnePlus Nord to be among the first devices in line for Android 11.

Well, at the time of writing, OnePlus was yet to issue any form of a roadmap to Android 11 or any plans on how it intends to handle the rollout.

That said, according to an Assistant Head Moderator in the community forum, the OnePlus Nord could get updated to Android 11 somewhere between late 2020 and early 2021.

Surely at the end of this year – early next, this is a personal estimate/speculation, no user in the community can answer your question.

As he rightfully pointed out in his response, this is merely speculative as no one has the answer to this question, at least for now.

However, seeing as this isn’t just anyone in the OnePlus community, maybe there’s some truth to his assumption after all.

For a while, OnePlus has been known to have a system that’s relatively close to stock Android. While that seems to be changing with OxygenOS 11, the same change could be reflected in development times for Android 11 to eligible devices.
