[Live in Chile] Samsung Galaxy A20s Android 10 (One UI 2.0) update rolling out
This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (published on May 8) follows:
Samsung’s latest Android skin One UI 2.1 has been the talk of the town since it debuted on the Galaxy S20. The OEM has backported One UI 2.1 to Galaxy S10, Note 10, Galaxy A51, and Galaxy Tab S6. As for Galaxy S9 and Note 9 it’s under the testing and is expected to make a show in the month of June.
While a major chunk of Galaxy A and M series devices have received One UI 2.1’s predecessor One UI 2.0 update, some are still waiting. One such device is the A series’ Galaxy A20s, kins of which, i.e Galaxy A20 and A20e were upgraded to the stable Android 10 update last month.
And now, the wait is now over for the A20s devices as well.
Bearing build number A207FXXU2BTD7 or A207MUBU2BTD7, the update is hitting the A20s devices with the not so latest March security patch.
Nonetheless, as it brings along all One UI 2.0 goodies like new navigation gestures, new redesigned camera UI, built-in screen recorder, new gestures for enabling one-hand mode, Digital Wellbeing, Dark Mode, etc.
With the OTA rollout assured to take its own sweet time to hit all devices, those using the A20s model number SM-A207F/SM-A207M can turn to a tool like Frija to download the latest Android 10 firmware for this unit and flash it manually using Odin. Here’s a how-to guide regarding this for those interested.
Those interested in the OTA may head over to Settings>>Software update to manually check for the update. Happy installation!
P.S. With Android 11/R around the corner, you must be curious to see if your Samsung unit is eligible for the One UI 3.0 upgrade. Head here for clarity.
