This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (published on April 07) follows:

Google hasn’t updated the official Android distribution dashboard since May 2019. According to the search giant, any Android OS versions with less than 0.1% distribution are not shown, implying that currently, Android 10 is running on less than 0.1% of all Android devices globally.

For an OS that came out in September 2019, these aren’t the stats I’d like to see coming from my favorite smartphone operating system. But there is little me and you can do to fix things, however, OPPO, the sixth-leading smartphone vendor globally, has a say in all this.

Only OEMs with a small market share like OnePlus and Nokia are consistently pushing stable Android 10 updates to their devices, which explains why the overall Android 10 market share isn’t significant enough. Things should change once big brands like OPPO and co. start updating their devices.

Popular devices like the OPPO F11, F11 Pro and A9 are already testing ColorOS 7 beta in multiple markets across the globe ahead of the stable rollout, probably this or next month. As it stands, folks using the OPPO K3 and OPPO F9 Pro are in line to join the party later this month.

So far, the exact dates for the release of the OPPO F9 Pro and OPPO K3 Android 10 beta update are what remain unknown, but OPPO support is assuring owners of these devices that the ColorOS 7 update is indeed coming this month.

Hi, a registration batch for the trial version of ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 will be released this month for the OPPO F9 Pro…the exact date for the release of ColorOS 7 update in OPPO F9 Pro is unconfirmed as of now. Tech has been my playground for over a decade. While the Android journey began early, it truly took flight with the revolutionary Lollipop update. Since then, it's been a parade of Android devices (with a sprinkle of iOS), culminating in a mostly happy marriage with Google's smart home ecosystem. Expect insightful articles and explorations of the ever-evolving world of Android and Google products coupled with occasional rants on the Nest smart home ecosystem.
