Xiaomi has updated several of its devices to the stable Android 10 operating system. While you’d expect that since the Mi MIX 3 is a high-end device it should receive the update ahead of others, Xiaomi obviously had other ideas.
The stable rollout is already available for a bunch of phones that include the Mi 8, Mi 9, and Mi 9T Pro in China, Europe, and the rest of the globe.
Today, the Mi MIX 3 Android 10 update has also started rolling out in Xiaomi’s home country in stable version.
The Mi MIX 3 first received the update to Android 10 in October, but at the time, the software was still in beta. As for the incoming update, it’s the stable version with MIUI 11 on top.
The update is coming in carrying software version MIUI 11.0.1.0.QEECNXM, which, interestingly, has a lower firmware version number compared to the most recent Pie-based MIUI 11.0.4.0.PEECNXM for the same device in the same region.
On top of Android 10, the incoming Mi MIX 3 update also includes a bunch of performance optimizations, bug fixes, and a newer November security patch.

The Mi MIX 3 5G, as expected, is still lagging behind its LTE counterpart. But we also expect it to receive this very update at some point this coming Q1 2020.
Although the global Mi MIX 3 should also get this Android 10 update pretty soon, modders and enthusiasts can already get their hands on the new OS via the famous xiaomi.eu distribution. The download file is right below.
