In the past few months, Xiaomi has been rolling out MIUI 11, their new skin on top of Android, to many devices. For many of these devices, the MIUI 11 update is based on Android 9 Pie (or even older).

But not to slack off, Xiaomi is also hard at work on the Android 10 build. Add the monthly security patches to the mix and you begin to have a scope of the kind of work Xiaomi is dealing with.

Xiaomi treats MIUI and Android OS updates separately, but at times, the two can be delivered simultaneously. One of Xiaomi’s top-rated smartphones today is the Mi 9T Pro. This device is also sold as the Redmi K20 Pro in some markets, including India.

Well, stable Android 10-based MIUI 11 is finally available on the Mi 9T Pro across the globe.

The stable MIUI 11 update already arrived on the global Mi 9 units and weighed in at 2.3GB. The huge file size is because the update also bumps the underlying OS to the latest and greatest from Google, Android 10.

As for the Mi 9T Pro, the MIUI 11 update is arriving as V11.0.1.0 and has the same size of 2.3GB thanks to the bundled Android 10 OS. Interestingly, the global variant of Mi 9T Pro received its October security patch earlier sans MIUI 11 and Android 10.
