Every Android iteration comes with a handful of features. In case you follow tech news, you might already know the latest one is already out. Dubbed as Android 10, it became the first version in a decade to go live without a dessert name.

Almost all the users are waiting to get it on their phones. However, Google, Essential, Nokia, and OnePlus rolled out the update to a few of their handsets. For those heavily skinned overlays (MIUI, EMUI, ColorOS, FuntouchOS etc.), the stable global build is yet to pop up.

MIUI 11

As for MIUI, you know it’s Xiaomi’s Android theme. The company has laboriously skinned it to give their offerings a unique look. To recall, Xiaomi Mi 8 & Mi MIX 2S got Android 10 update via latest MIUI beta builds yesterday.

And today, Mi Mix 3 has got its turn in the raffle. The customers can now flash their firmware to upgrade to Android 10-based MIUI 11. If you don’t want to get your hands dirty, wait for the OTA notification (stable) to flash on your screen.

  • Device: Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
  • Codename: perseus
  • Version: 9.10.10
  • Android: 10
  • Type: Recovery

As you already read, it’s a beta build. So, there may be small glitches present in it. Unless you can’t live with those, don’t attempt to flash the firmware. Yesterday, the OEM has officially announced the launch date of MIUI 11 Global ROM.

On a side note, Xiaomi started inviting users for the second round of Mi Pilot program. Those who sign up for this will get stable ROMs to test them out. And, they will have to report the issues to the company if there’re any.

In order to join the program, you need a Mi account and a phone from the following list. Do you not see your device in the list? Then, chances are your eligibility to receive the update is pretty slim. So, here come the phones’ catalogue.
