New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on June 21, 2023) follows:

XDefiant, the highly anticipated team-based first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft, has recently encountered a significant issue that has left players frustrated and disappointed.

Many eager gamers are finding themselves unable to enjoy the game’s cooperative multiplayer experience with their friends due to a malfunctioning invite system.

Some also faced a problem where they were not receiving the beta code for the game. While others reported severe desync issues in Closed Beta.

XDefiant players unable to party up with friends

Needless to say, the ability to team up with friends in cooperative or competitive gameplay enhances the overall experience and adds an extra layer of enjoyment.

However, the game’s social aspect has been negatively impacted by XDefiant’s flawed invite system, which prevents players from forming teams and participating in exciting combat (1,2,3,4).

Has anyone found a work around to get into a party on @PlayXDefiant on PS5? Still nothing works for people trying to join parties on the platform. #XDefiant

Reports from numerous players highlight the inability to send or receive party invites, rendering the game’s social features practically non-functional. And they only keep getting a ‘Failed to Join party. Group not found’ error.

The dissatisfaction caused by this problem is obvious, which results in lower player involvement, unfavorable reviews, and perhaps even abandonment of the game by disgruntled players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).

Issue acknowledged

Fortunately, Ubisoft has acknowledged the issue where XDefiant players are unable to party up with their friends. Moreover, the team has also added the bug to the game’s list of ‘Known Issues’ on Trello.
