Smartphone manufacturers like Google, Essential, OnePlus & Nokia are some of the names that can be found in the list of top OEMs that push timely updates for its devices.

Carriers are often delaying the flow of updates due to additional testing and certification steps. Sprint, one of “the big four” in the USA, is trying to improve the situation as they have pushed the October 2019 security patch for OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and Moto E5 Play units.

Let us take a look at the updates received on both the devices one by one.
