New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 28, 2020) follows:

The stable Android 10 update for Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 started rolling out in China back in June. The Indian and Global units started receiving the same update earlier in July. However, the European Redmi Note 7 units are yet to receive the stable Android 10 update.

With the stable MIUI 12 update rolling out to many Xiaomi devices, it appears to be a sign of slow development for the Redmi Note 7. This is because the Android 10 update for the Global, Indian, and Chinese units was topped with MIUI 11.

Now, a Xiaomi community moderator has mentioned that the stable Android 10 update may come out for the European Redmi Note 7 units anytime. This was in response to a user’s query about the update, however, the moderator did not provide much information about the update itself.

It seems that the European Redmi Note 7 units will also receive the Android 10 update topped with MIUI 11. While the device is also slated to receive the much awaited MIUI 12 update, it is unclear when this will happen as no official announcements have been made yet.

The Redmi Note 7 is listed in the second round of the stable MIUI 12 update schedule which is supposed to begin in August. So, users will have to wait a bit longer before they can get their hands on the latest custom skin from Xiaomi.
