After VoLTE, a mobile tech that enabled better sounding voice calls and the ability to use voice and data at the same time, among other things, the next frontier is VoWiFi.
VoWiFi enables people to use the Internet as the transmission medium for telephone calls. This is as opposed to cellular networks that have been used to do this since invention of the cellphone.
In the past few months, we have seen more and more OEMs pushing out updates to enable this feature on their phones. Most of these devices are from Chinese OEMs like Xiaomi.
Realme has also rolled out updates to a good number of its devices to enable VoWiFi. Realme 3, 3i, Realme 2 and C1, Realme 2 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme 3 Pro and XT, Realme 1, U1, 5, 5s and 5i and many others in Realme’s portfolio already support this.
Today, the company is adding one more device to the list of supported devices, the Realme C2.
The Realme C2 is getting an update that will bring the Android security patch level up to March 2020. This same update is packed with VoWiFi goodies for users in India, as outlined in the following changelog.

Indian owners of the Realme C2 can now take advantage of the VoWiFi feature that is available on both Jio and Airtel after this update.
As has been the case with every OTA rollout from Realme, this one will take a few days, or weeks, before it hits all eligible devices. If you don’t want to wait for the update, here is a download link to the firmware for you to download and manually install on your device.
