With the release of the new season named ‘Season of Light’, a few cool items inspired by Cosmog will be available via the in-game shop.

Also, the GO Battle League is back with Season 12. It will feature competitions like the Psychic Cup, the Weather Cup, and the Halloween Cup: Ultra League Edition

However, recently many players have been facing issues like Hoopa Elite Raid rewards not spawning and being unable to use some Pokemon in Evolution Cup.

Many gamers now say that the animation for many Costumed Pokemon is completely visually bugged in Pokemon Go (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).

Event Costume Pokemon are special versions of certain Pokemon in Pokemon Go. As a result, several Pokemon can be caught wearing a costume. This can range from Pikachu wearing a World Cap Hat to Armored Mewtwo.

Unfortunately, many Pokemon Go players are reporting missing animations for various Costumed Pokemon such as Vulpix, Ninetales, and Gengar.

When players click on costumed Pokemon in-game to play their intended animation, they get stuck or frozen. Other Pokemon are not like this.

Anyone else seeing all the new costume Pokémon, Gengar & Vulpix especially are just stationary and hardly move on the catch screen. Gengar doesn’t even move on to the raid battle. @NianticHelp

@NianticHelp some of the animations for the new costumed Gengar seem to be missing. It was static through the raid, except for when it used its charged move, and static during the catching phase – though the circle would disappear periodically as if it was moving/attacking.

Official acknowledgment

Fortunately, Niantic support has acknowledged this issue and said that they are investigating it. However, no ETA for a fix was shared.

So by the looks of it, Pokemon Go players won’t have to wait for too long before the animation issue is fixed.

That said, we’ll keep track of the situation and will post an update if and when there are any further developments regarding the matter.
