Xiaomi has been conducting its Android 12 beta testing internally for a couple of months now. One of the first devices to get it was the flagship Mi 11 series. Since then, more devices have been added to the roster.

Of course, internal testing means that it is being conducted in China alone by Xiaomi themselves and there’s no build available (except for the Mi 11) for both the regular users and beta testers to install.

We are yet to get a look into what Xiaomi has in store for Android 12 but a recent Android 12 China beta release for the Xiaomi Mi 11 has proven that the testing is still MIUI 12.5-based. There is no sign of MIUI 13.

Nonetheless, Xiaomi hasn’t limited its Android 12 testing to the flagship devices alone.

More recent budget device additions to the Android 12 beta testing list indicate that Xiaomi intends to release the Android 12 update for even the cheaper devices as well, as soon as possible.

The latest to get included in Android 12 beta internal testing is the Poco F2 Pro that also goes by the name of Redmi K30 Pro in China. Or at least was.

This is because it is now joined by the Poco X3 Pro and Redmi Note 8 2021. The info has been provided by Xiaomiui.

If all goes well, every device on the Android 12 internal testing list including the Poco X3 Pro and Redmi Note 8 2021 should be one of the very first to bag Android 12 stable. There is no ETA though.

But that’s not all. The Android 12 update has also been confirmed for the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Lite.

Do take this info with a pinch of salt though since the Mi Note 10 was launched with Android 9, and Xiaomi isn’t known for providing 3 Android version upgrades.

Last but not least, the Redmi Note 9 Global and Redmi 10X 4G are confirmed not to get updated to Android 12, which is quite disappointing considering that they’ve only bagged a single Android update till now.

That said, for further news about Android 12 for devices like the Poco X3 Pro, Redmi Note 8 2021, Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Lite, and other eligible devices, stay tuned to our Xiaomi Android 12 update tracker.
