Android 11 is currently under active development and for the most part, attention has slowly shifted to the next big update for Android expected sometime later this year, probably in September. However, some OEMs are still lagging behind, only now getting around to rolling out Android 10 to their devices.

One such OEM is OPPO. The company has been relatively slow to roll out ColorOS 7 to its eligible devices. Today, the company is adding one more device to its list of updated devices.

The OPPO F7 is today finally getting updated to Android 10 through the company’s own skinned version of the OS, ColorOS 7. This rollout is right on time, if earlier reports that suggested the update would come to the OPPO F7 devices in June is anything to go by.

This Android 10-based ColorOS 7 build for the OPPO F7 comes after a successful beta program that started sometime in mid-May. More on that here.

This update can be identified by its software build version, CPH1819EX_11.F.11. This build also brings with it the June 2020 security patch to the OPPO F7 devices.

For the initial rollout, the update will be pushed out to users in India, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, Philippines, Algeria, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Egypt, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Morocco and Kazakhstan. This is still a staged rollout so it will not be available to all devices at the same time.

Some users have reported receiving the same update on their OPPO F7 units, with the same build number, only as ColorOS 7.1.
