OnePlus is (or should I say ‘was‘?) the Xiaomi of mid-range flagships! Both share one super power, maximum specs to price ratio. The latter disrupted the budget smartphone arena whereas the former proved you could buy a device with flagship SoC for as low as $300.

While the Beijing-based firm is keeping their feet to the same ground, the Shenzhen vendor has grown leaps and bounds in terms of pricing. To put things into perspective, OnePlus 7T Pro, the latest offering, carries a price tag of $750+ (more than twice the price of OnePlus One).

In the beginning years, the brand had stuck to one phone a year strategy. But after the third device went live in 2016, they have changed the number to two per annum. As a part of the reformed sales tactics, OnePlus 3T entered the scene.

Fast forward to 2019, OnePlus released four handsets (OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro). Despite surging the number of gadgets, the manufacturer haven’t gone off the grid with firmware updates. To recall, OnePlus 7T/7T Pro received November patch recently in China.

Speaking of the global units, the last OTA overhaul surfaced around a month ago. And today, November security update has gone live for OnePlus 7T. Have a look at the complete changelog below.

Sensing something bizarre? No?? Then, have a look at the version numbers from the quoted text above and on the image. The official OnePlus forum post says it is 10.0.7 whereas what many users received with the same changelog carries 10.3.0. And, the company acknowledged the anomaly.

We’ve noticed reports that some users are receiving the update with 10.3.0 as the version number. That information was already passed to the Oxygen OS team and we’ll provide more information as soon as possible.

Although not in the release note, we could see another change this update has brought about. A OnePlus account ribbon made its room to the top of the Settings window. It gives you a quick access to managing benefits, devices, and accounts.

What if you haven’t got the update now? As we always say, firmware overhauls take time to reach all the units. So, better wait for the notification to light up your screen. In case they delay the delivery, we will add an update at the bottom.
