Microsoft Teams is a platform for communication and teamwork that helps enterprises, organizations, and teams collaborate more effectively.

However, we have seen instances (1,2,3) where the platform stops functioning properly due to various bugs and issues, thus hindering normal day-to-day operations.

According to reports, whenever someone clicks the predicted text, it is added alongside the letters that users were typing rather than replacing the whole word. It makes it seem as if the text suggestion is merely overlapping.

This issue isn’t exactly new and has been troubling users for quite some time now (1,2). It seems that other applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Edge, and Chrome, operate perfectly well.

One of the affected users tries to demonstrate the problem. According to them, when they randomly typed ‘tesing’, Teams suggested the word ‘testing’. However, upon selecting that word, it became ‘tesintesting’.

Unfortunately, this bug hasn’t been acknowledged by the team as yet. There’s also no workaround that can help fix it temporarily.

We can only hope for the developers to come up with a resolution as soon as possible since users have been struggling with it for months now.

We’ll keep tabs on the latest developments regarding the issue where Microsoft Teams text suggestions are not working and update this article accordingly.
