Xiaomi recently announced the MIUI 11 rollout timetable that started off from 22nd October. Not long ago, the company pushed the MIUI 11 updates for quite a few devices in China.

Xiaomi users across the globe are pretty excited about the MIUI 11 as it brings in some new features and enhancements for the devices. For instance, design changes to UI, new AOD (Always On Display), Mi Share, Digital Wellbeing, Mi Work, ultra power saving mode, and the list goes on.

Moreover, in a recent development, two devices are reportedly receiving the MIUI 11 update namely Mi 6 and Mi MIX 2. Interestingly, if we go by the global rollout timetable shared by Xiaomi, both the devices were slated to receive the update between November 4-12.

Let us take a look at updates received on the Mi 6 and Mi MIX 2 smartphone, one by one:

Mi 6

Xiaomi launched the Mi 6 in 2017. It packs in the Snapdragon 835 processor which is paired with 4/6 GB of RAM. Matter of fact, the device came with Android 7.1.1. out of the box.

Now coming back to the update, it carries the version number V11.0.2.0.PCACNXM and weighs in around 1.68 GB in size. Below is the official changelog of the update:

From the looks of the official changelog, the update brings in a handful of new features. You get various changes in the UI, new Mi share app, Game speed booster, and more.

Mi MIX 2

Another 2017 smartphone from Xiaomi is receiving the MIUI 11 update. It carries the version number V11.0.2.0.PDECNXM and weighs in around 1.76 GB in size.

The update shares the same changelog as mentioned above for the Mi 6 smartphone. To recall, Mi MIX 2 is also powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor with 6/8GB of RAM.

Mi MIX 2

Matter of fact, both of their successors, i.e. Mi 8 and Mi MIX 2S also received the MIUI 11 update in China a few days ago.

Once you have downloaded the update from the above link, go to Settings>>About Phone>>System update>>press the MIUI version logo 10 times>> tap on the three-dot icon at the top right corner and select Choose update package. Locate the update package inside the ‘downloaded_rom’ folder of your internal storage and select the file to update manually.

After the Chinese variants, Xiaomi has pushed the MIUI 11 update for the global Mi 6 and Mi MIX 2 units. The OTA also brings September security patches. Details here.
