It’s natural for smartphone makers to rank their latest devices higher in the software updates pecking order. This is why EMUI 10 stories have mostly revolved around the high-end Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series of phones.

The former got the nod ahead of the rest, with the first EMUI 10 beta outside China arriving mid-September. Soon after, the Mate 20 series joined the party beginning with China and later a few markets outside China got it too.

More recently, Huawei has been gradually spreading the Android 10 love to more devices but in limited geographical areas. However, going forward, multiple Huawei phones across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa can now be installed with EMUI 10 beta update.

In a post published in the official community forums, Huawei has revealed a list of devices and markets that can now participate in beta testing EMUI 10 update.

The list of devices has the usual suspects namely Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20X, Mate 20 Lite, Nova 5T, Huawei P Smart 2019, Huawei P Smart+ and the P30 Lite.

Magazine Design

  • Incorporates a magazine-style layout, for a more comfortable and authentic reading experience.

Morandi Color

  • Understated gray tones make for a gentler and more comfortable display.

A captivating Dark mode that’s more than meets the eye

  • Meticulously calibrated colors, based on high-level research, with a minimalist Dark mode.

Animations

  • Dynamic, naturally-based animations for page transitions, app launches, and other scenarios.

Note that this is unfinished software and not fit for use as a daily driver. So, if you intend to install it, do so only if you have another device you could turn to in case of unforeseen bugs.
