Wearables are not estranged gadgets today. Starting from fitness bands to smart watches, they come in varieties. But, the affordability makes the former the favourite of budget-sensitive customers. You can buy a decent smart band for as low as $20.

You know Huawei and Xiaomi come on top in the list of budget smart bands. Both their offerings are almost similar. What makes Huawei’s Honor Band 5 stand out from Xiaomi’s Mi Band 4 is the availability of SpO2 Monitor.

The company enabled the SpO2 sensor and brought music playback controls to the device with a firmware update last month. And, it widened the gap between Mi Band 4 and Honor Band 5. However, the latter’s display bricked for many after a software overhaul.

The OEM released multiple updates to the band in order to fix the problems. A few days ago, one such build has gone live with the version number 1.1.0.100. The size of the package is so small that it weighs only 83.21 KB.

Obviously, one can’t expect loads of features with such a tiny update. It brings fixes for music control app and display problems. Wait what! New bugs also accompany the 1.1.100 patch. A number of posts from the users on different social platforms indicates the same.

On the official forum, one reported the watch face missing glitch. After upgrading to the latest firmware, it went invisible. The post is lying there without receiving a proper response to solve the mayhem.

Next is feet count error. For another user, the device counted only 3.389 feet in 30 minutes. Clearly, the actual number might be more than this. That’s why it found a place on the Huawei UK Community. No reply there as well!

Now, let’s have a look at a weird trouble a Honor Band 5 user is experiencing.

Honor Band 5 incorrect naps
Hello everyone,
Is here someone who has Honor Band 5?
My band keep register naps between 11:00 and 15:00 when i am at my office desk . Is this a software bug or is something wrong with my Honor Band 5? If i watch an Youtube video or if i browse a little more then 10 minutes using the mouse ( my band is on my right hand ) the band record a nap. The band software is up to date ( the problem was present before the last update as well). And the problem is that Huawei Health dosen’t let me edit sleep/delete naps.
