Google has delighted Pixel Superfans with a fresh batch of exclusive wallpapers designed to perfectly complement the recently launched Mint colorway of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. These “minty fresh” wallpapers add a vibrant touch to your Pixel (or any other) device.

This was spotted by the folks over at 9to5Google. The publication noted that an email was sent out to those registered in the Pixel Superfan program in the UK to inform them about the new “Googler-designed wallpapers.”

The creative force behind these Mint-inspired wallpapers is Selim Cinek, a senior staff software engineer with a decade of experience on the Android SystemUI team. Selim’s team specializes in motion, graphics, and performance, and they’re also responsible for the recent AI-powered wallpaper feature exclusive to the Pixel 8 series (though it’s expected to expand to other devices soon).

The two wallpapers offered showcase Selim’s travel photography with a delightful Mint twist. Each high-resolution image (4736 × 3432 pixels, 16.25 megapixels) ensures pristine quality on any device.

“Sandy Walkway”: Selim captured this stunning drone shot during his honeymoon in the Maldives. The image beautifully depicts a sandy walkway extending into crystal-clear waters, a scene found on an exclusive island in the Baa Atoll.

Cenote wallpaper: This aerial photograph features a cenote, a natural sinkhole characteristic of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The mesmerizing blend of nature and culture holds a special place in Selim’s heart.

Don’t miss out on these stunning wallpapers, even if you don’t own a Mint Pixel 8 or 8 Pro. I downloaded and applied the “Sandy Walkway” image as my wallpaper on the Pixel 7a and I must admit it looks fresh! Download the full-resolution versions by heading here. Google periodically refreshes its wallpaper gallery, so act fast!
