Escape from Tarkov is one of the most realistic online FPS games. Developed and published by Battlestate Games, it has been in beta for the last 5 years.

Apart from the online-only Scavenger and PMC raids, the title also features a temporary offline mode. Similar to Rust, if someone dies in a raid, they lose their entire loot and equipment that was brought on board.

But in the last few months, many have experienced performance issues on the Lighthouse map whereas others complained about the KS-23 still shooting low despite the developers fixing the problem months ago.

And as if these issues weren’t troubling enough, many are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that Escape from Tarkov developers have silently nerfed the Aquamari.

Many are wondering if this is an intentional change or a bug since the Aquamari is now 50/50 instead of 150/150. They also reduced the hydration offered by Aquamari from +350 to +40, a change that some say has made Aquamari useless since it gives less hydration compared to a water bottle.

Below are some reports from Escape from Tarkov players complaining about the Aquamari nerf.

Silent nerf to aquamaris??? Today I think it was rolled out but they used to be 150/150 and now max durability use is now at 50. I have my old ones at 150/50 now. Kinda miffed bit idk if this is just a bug or is this for everyone else??

Everyone knows the Aquamari was OP as fuck pre nerf, but the nerf is also a little heavy handed. I think the Aquamari should be a multi-use water bottle that holds the same amount of water as a standard 0.6L 60/60, but you can keep it @ 0/60 and refill it at your hideout’s water collector. Thoughts? Somebody @ Nikita 4 me.

Players are now demanding that the game developers buff the Aquamari a little bit to make it balanced. Unfortunately, Escape from Tarkov developers (Battlestate Games) are yet to comment on the matter.

We hope they listen to players’ feedback and make some changes to Aquamari in the coming days.

Rest assured, we will be keeping tabs on the matter and update this space as and when we come across more information so make sure you stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
