While some like cartoonish Battle Royale titles like Apex Legends and Fortnite, others love to engross themselves in realistic battlefields. If you like the latter, then you must have heard of Escape from Tarkov.

Set on a fictional region of Norvinsk, the game places players on one side of the map with an extraction point on the other side. On their way, they must fight against other players and NPCs to escape.

Having said that, players are no strangers when it comes to issues such as KS-23 shooting too low despite being fixed and bugged Scav vests and TV Rig.

And as if these weren’t troubling enough, Escape from Tarkov players say (1,2,3,4,5) that the Lighthouse map has several performance issues ranging form FPS drops to stuttering.

The issue seems to have surfaced after the 12.12 update that was released a few months ago. Even those with high end gaming rigs seem to have a hard time running the Ligthouse map without any hiccups.

Below are some reports from Escape from Tarkov players experiencing performance issues on the Lighthouse map.

I can run every other map at 60-70 fps but when I play lighthouse I get 10-20 frames and gets long freezes for upwards of 15 seconds every minute or two. Most of my quests are on lighthouse but it’s completely unplayable for me what do I do? I’m fed up with this shit because I just tried to spawn into a light house raid to finish killing scavs on the road my screen was frozen on the countdown screen then I had a black screen for OVER A MINUTE and then was dead as soon as the black screen went away.

hello, i need some advice or help if anyone has/had this problem and found solution. i played lighthouse now and then for the past month and it run fine, with sometimes crashing the entire game on loading, after i relogin it runned fine, which is normal for tarkov, i grown used to crashes, but yesterday everything changed, all of a sudden lighthouse map started chugging memorry like mad, i turned on my task manager and have noticed that it consumes around 5,000mb + making the game unplayable on 5-20 fps, i assume its something to do with the recent patch?

As it turns out, Nikita Butanov, the head of the gaming studio Battlestate Games and Game Director of Escape from Tarkov had acknowledged the issue and said they were working on fixing the performance issues on Lighthouse.

ok, based on the results from the reddit post, the main problems you’re experiencing are:
– audio issues (95% of messages)
– scav AI (and scav inertia)
– performance issues on Lighthouse (and in general)
Everything above is being addressed👌as well as other things you described.
