As soon as the activity became available, players rushed to participate in it in the hopes of earning weapon XP.

However, their aspirations were crushed soon after realizing that the weapon XP was missing from the rewards pool. It seems that some of them could only get the armors instead of the crafted weapons.

The ‘Bonfire Bash’ activity, which was meant to be an exciting seasonal event, has been seemingly spoiled by the problem of not obtaining weapon XP.

Fortunately, the issue has been acknowledged by the developers and the team is currently investigating it. Bungie has confirmed that this bug will be fixed with an upcoming update.

We are aware of an issue preventing crafted weapon XP from being earned from the Bonfire Bash activity. We are investigating a fix for this issue for an upcoming update.
