With its blend of immersive storytelling and dynamic gameplay, Destiny 2 offers a fascinating and compelling adventure for both new players and long-time fans of the franchise.
Bungie, time and again, releases several expansions and updates, adding new content, features, and storylines to keep gamers interested.
However, some are dissatisfied as they are having problems while using the Armor mods.
Destiny 2 armor mod unavailable for players
Armor Mods are small, consumable items that can be put on armor parts to provide a variety of benefits. These can range from boosting damage output to decreasing absorbed damage.
These provide gamers with a wonderful opportunity to enhance their character’s capabilities and have an enjoyable experience while exploring different customization possibilities.
But, according to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), multiple players are facing an issue where they are unable to use the armor mod if they don’t own a Lightfall or Season Pass.
And this is happening because certain changes have been introduced to the Guardian Rank requirements recently.
They are surprised that the developers have noticed this problem halfway through the season. It has also been alleged that they acknowledged it because several people started complaining about it.
Some speculate that this was done so that Bungie could make more profits from the game. While others are happy to find out that the bug will be addressed by the company.
I feel like it was definitely 100% intended. But because of all the backlash with people finally realizing how messed up it is you have to save your precious failing reputation by “fixing” it.

One of those affected alleges that it’s often convenient for the company to label such instances as mere mistakes whenever there is an excessive reliance on paywalls.
Always conveniently a mistake when you guys go too far with paywalls or microtransactions :3

Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, Bungie is aware of this issue and stated that it is currently working on removing the Rank requirement as soon as possible.
We are hopeful that Bungie will fix this glitch soon.
That said, we will continuously monitor this issue and update this article to reflect the latest information.
