Assassin's Creed Valhalla unable to use fishing line bug-fix to arrive with future update, but there's no ETA

Fishing is an activity that allows Valhalla players to get fish that can be cashed in for money. It’s one of the methods to get silver in the game.

However, the fishing availability has been erratic for months according to reports. It seems that sometimes the game does not allow the player to use the fishing line.

I built a fishing hut since I wanted the fishing line to farm for silver. I got the fishing line, but I can’t use it. No matter where I am, it keeps saying that the fishing line is unavailable. I’ve tried restarting my game several times, as well as my ps4, but nothing fixed it.

Hello, I have an unusual issue, but I simply cannot use the fishing line after building the fishing hut. I see the fishing line as a option, but when I try selecting it, it simply states “Not Currently Available.” I’ve already tried:

Verifying Game Files
Restarting the game
Removing any inventory items (Head, Torso, weapons, etc.)
Switching from Xbox One X controller to Keyboard

The problem in question has been present for a long period. There are reports on the matter that were published more than 6 months ago.

But to this day the Ubisoft support team is investigating the glitch. However, there is no estimated arrival date for a fix yet.
