Players are reporting serious issues with Dynamic Faces on Roblox. After Roblox forced Dynamic Heads onto Classic Faces and outfits, several saved avatars were broken, and accessories were misaligned. Some games, such as Royale High, are a complete mess.

Users load up their outfits only to see their Heads or characters sinking into the floor. Accessory attachments look completely off on the Dynamic Heads. Full-face masks don’t fit correctly, and the hair clips through because they’re not properly adjusted. Players are flooding social media with frustration and memes about this situation.

Roblox also changed the neck rig and face center attachments, which affect over 100,000 items and force manual tweaks that fail in many cases. The Dynamic Heads themselves look weird and rushed, presumably due to the use of Generative AI.

The mouths are weirdly placed, and the overall proportions, as well as expressions, look weird. People with expertise in Blender claim there’s heavy involvement of automation and AI. Additionally, Roblox seems to have raised the prices of full masks to 110 Robux, up from 70 Robux.

There are some workarounds that may help if you’re facing issues with the new Dynamic Heads. Provided you’re using a faceless Dynamic Head and a 3D mask, or a Protogen/ TV-style head, you can cover up the broken face entirely. It’s quite a messy month for Roblox. We recently covered an issue where auto-moderation began flagging official Roblox faces. You can read about that here.

People also suggest un-equipping the head, swapping to R6. A post blew up on Reddit, claiming that swapping to R6 restores the older Classic Heads almost entirely. One solution to the Royale High issue seems to be putting on a woman’s body or resetting it. Reapplying the Classic Face by changing the body type is another proposed workaround.

Solution to the Dynamic Faces bugs.

I’m hoping Roblox fixes this mess by offering a permanent solution, like giving players the choice of using Classic Heads, or at least designing the new Dynamic Heads better.
