Some Dynamic Faces on Roblox have randomly been deleted across player inventories recently. This is a problem with the company’s AI moderation system, which marks its own official Dynamic Heads and faces as “violations” of community guidelines. Users open the avatar editor to find “Deleted” icons on the items that Roblox created and sold themselves.
A lot of people spent real money on toy code bundles that no longer work. The rollout of Dynamic Heads began a while ago, replacing all 2D classic faces with animated 3D versions. Players watched as all the classic faces disappeared from the catalog, and the Dynamic alternatives appeared. A few people even found sneaky ways to bring back 2D faces.
The same moderation AI that approved the new Dynamic heads seems to have removed them now. The message that appears reads “Item was removed because it goes against Roblox community standards.” Players report that characters keep resetting in the middle of the games. People report that heads like Gigglypuff are missing as well.
Roblox creators are reporting the same problem. One of them watched the Daydreaming face vanish while customizing it. Another player lost a limited Dynamic Head that dropped from thousands in value to nearly zero.
Comments also show screenshots of empty slots and error messages. It’s just weird that Roblox built the faces, defined the rules, and then let an automatic AI system ban their own faces. This whole situation just proves how important having a human review at the final stages is. It’s not just the desktop version of the game that’s impacted, since there are screenshots from mobile players facing the same issues.
Some players link the deletions to ongoing R6 compatibility fixes; Roblox is also actively testing new death animations. Roblox didn’t officially issue a statement regarding these problems, so we don’t know when they’ll fix it.
A few players were extremely unlucky, since this even resulted in some temporary account suspensions. Since this is a major issue that severely impacts the experience of playing the game, I’m hoping Roblox addresses this soon.
