It seems RoBeats has gone down on Roblox. This seems to have happened several hours ago, leaving many players staring at an Experience currently unavailable message when they tried to load the game. Some listings for it even popped up with notices about deleted content.
The situation quickly gained attention on X after a user named Eva shared their frustration with a post. “THEY TOOK DOWN ROBEATS NOOOOO,” they wrote. Replies poured in fast from other players who mentioned they had been in the game as recently as the day before.
RoBeats has existed on the platform for years. For plenty of longtime users, it stands out as one of the few rhythm games that still has strong name recognition.
Some early speculation has popped up about possible copyright troubles. One person suggested that an artist wanted their work pulled from the game after getting into a disagreement with the developer. They reportedly threatened to take copyright action. Even so, that explanation has not been confirmed as the real cause for the outage.
The developer behind RoBeats, known as spotco, is at least making an effort to support the players. In a later update, they recommended that everyone check out a new RoBeats Alt server. This version comes with reset data for all accounts. The team added that they are working hard to bring the original game back online.
Meanwhile, another change was hard to ignore for anyone who browses the avatar marketplace. Classic Faces started disappearing from sale. Community tracker RTC reported that only a small handful of the traditional faces were still available at one point, and those were expected to vanish soon as well.
The tab now sits completely empty, as highlighted in multiple screenshots like this.
None of these problems are happening on their own. Roblox has faced several rough patches lately. Recent reports highlighted a wave of player bans connected to tougher chat moderation. The platform is also retiring Community Walls and has changed its Marketplace rules. Under the new policy, some sellers of 2D avatar items must have a Premium membership.
That said, feel free to share your thoughts on these two developments in the comments below.
