[Updated] Brawl Stars 'Showdown' wins not counting for Starr Drops, issue acknowledged

Brawl Stars arrived in 2017 as an interesting competitive multiplayer game from the developers of the successful Clash of Clans. Since then, it has built a strong community of players.

The game receives constant updates, the ‘Summer update’ being the latest one. One of the biggest novelties of this update is the ‘Starr Drops’ reward system.

But multiple Brawl Stars players are reporting that ‘Showdown’ wins are not counting to get Starr Drops.

‘Starr Drops’ is basically the successor to the previous ‘Boxes’ gacha system. To obtain them, players must achieve a certain number of wins per day in any game mode.

But there is currently a bug where the wins obtained in Brawl Stars ‘Showdown’ are not counting for Starr Drops. So, players are not getting those rewards if they only play that mode.

for some reason, after I got my first starr drop, I’m not able to progress on my starr drop calendar. even after winning 5 times, I’m still on ‘tier’ 1. I also tried playing on my mini acc, and there, I couldn’t even get 1. is it supposed to work that way, or is my game glitched?

Showdownwins dont count to the starr drops

idk if it is a bug or glitch but when you win in showdown those games dont count towards the starr drops

Fortunately, the Brawl Stars dev team didn’t take long to notice the issue and is already looking into it. However, there is no ETA for a fix yet.

We’re aware of a bug where Showdown wins are not counting for Starr Drops and the team is looking into it 🙏

So, for now, the only way to fill the ‘wins counter’ to get Starr Drops is to play any other mode except Showdown. Not the best news for those who have it as their favorite.

Hopefully the issue will get a fix very soon, and Brawl Stars players will be able to get Starr Drops by playing any mode.
