Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 12, 2022) follows:

Developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, The Sims 4 is the fourth major title in the long-running Sims franchise. The social simulation title was released in 2014 and has no primary objectives just like its predecessors.

Instead, players have to make choices in a dynamically interactive environment. They can choose from existing Sims and families or make one from scratch.

That said, the game has received several content updates that add new features.

But sometimes frequent updates to the title cause problems like the game freezing or lagging after the v1.88 Pronouns update and players unable to save game and getting Error code 0.

And now, The Sims 4 players are reporting that the Gallery is down or not working for the last couple of hours (1,2,3,4,5).

In case you are unaware, the Gallery is a place where players can share or download content like households with each other.

Many are getting a ‘Could not connect’ error message when trying to open the gallery. Some tried restarting the game and switching from wireless to ethernet but nothing seems to help right now.

It’s currently 10:15pm where I live. I’ve been unable to connect to the Sims 4 gallery on my Xbox for hours? I was on it through my phone earlier this morning. Now it won’t connect is there something going on or is it my game? And how can I fix it?

However, a PlayStation player said they had to wait at the loading screen for a while after which the gallery was accessible.

I’m on PS4 and noticed it took a while on this screen at start up! It loaded eventually tho. I’ve heard some people are having issues with the gallery, so perhaps sims 4 is having a few problems today. I hope you got it up and running

This might mean that the problem is limited to Xbox and PC versions of the game. But with The Sims 4 developers yet to officially comment on the matter, this remains speculation.

We hope they soon take a look at the issue and fix it at the earliest. Rest assured, we will be keeping an eye out on the problem and update this article as and when we come across new information so make sure you stay tuned.

Update 1 (July 13, 2022)
