Spotify, the popular music streaming service, created a trend with its Wrapped. Given the success of this annual summary, multiple services also began offering their own Wrapped or Recaps (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

Now, the service looks to repeat the move with a new feature: Spotify Playlist in a Bottle. The option allows you to create a ‘musical time capsule’ that you will be able to listen to in 2024.

How to create your Spotify Playlist in a Bottle (musical time capsule)

To create the ‘musical time capsule’, you must access the Spotify Playlist in a Bottle website (through this link). The service is also inviting users to create their own when entering their main website.

Once you access the website from a mobile device, you will be redirected to your Spotify app. If you access the link from a destkop browser, you will have to scan a QR code that will take you to the creation of the playlist from the Spotify app.

From there, you will be able to choose a minimum of 3 songs for it. However, before you will have to choose a ‘special object’ that will ‘represent’ your musical time capsule.

There are 6 objects to choose from, including a bottle, a lunchbox, a teddy bear and others (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

The next step is to answer a small questionnaire about your musical tastes. In it, you must share info such as what is the song with which you are obsessed, a song that reminds you of someone, etc.

Once you answer the questions, you can ‘lock them’ and your playlist will be saved. So next year 2024 you will get a notification to access your Spotify Playlist in a Bottle.
