[Update: Rolling out in Vietnam] Oppo F11 Pro ColorOS 11 (Android 11) update reportedly released in India
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on April 29, 2021) follows:
2019 was an interesting year for the smartphone industry as OEMs were experimenting with various ways of delivering a full display while still retaining the front-facing camera.
One of the first devices to incorporate a motorized pop-up selfie camera during the said period was the Oppo F11 Pro. An impressive fete at the time.
Like many devices back then, the Oppo F11 Pro came with Android 9 Pie out of the box, only this one was skinned with Oppo’s own ColorOS 6.
Last year, we saw the device bag the update to Android 10-based ColorOS 7 along with its lesser sibling, the Oppo F11 and the A9.
Being an F-series device, the Oppo F11 Pro is eligible for one more update, to Oppo’s ColorOS 11 that is based on Android 11.
Earlier this month, we saw Oppo release its April 2021 Android 11-based ColorOS 11 rollout roadmap, a detailed list of its devices and the builds they’re slated to get this month.
In the list, the Oppo F11 along with the Oppo F11 Pro was said to be receiving their Android 11 updates.
Today, Oppo through its official ColorOS Twitter handle has indeed confirmed that they have rolled out the stable ColorOS 11 build to users of the F11 Pro, starting with India.
Hello there! The official version of ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 update for OPPO F11 Pro in India has been released. Please go to Settings > Software update to get the update. Thanks!
We shall continue to keep an eye on this and update as and when we get more info on the same so stay tuned. In the meantime, have you received the Android 11 update on your Oppo F11 Pro? Tell us in the comments section below.
