New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (published on March 27) follows:

While the future of LG is unclear at this point, the company is still working on getting the Android 11 update to eligible devices around the world.

It recently revealed its rollout schedule through its German website which shows that most devices from the company would get Android 11 later on in the year.

That said, the company has released Android 11 to a handful of devices already. These are the LG V60 ThinQ, LG Velvet 5G, and the LG Android One X5.

Like most Android OS updates, the update for these phones is not yet live in all regions where they’re sold. This means that users in certain countries will have to wait even longer to get a taste of the new Android version.

Luckily, LG V60 ThinQ users in Canada won’t have to wait all that long. How so? Well, TELUS has confirmed, through its software update schedule, that the device will get Android R/11 on March 31.

LG rolled out Android 11 for the LG V60 ThinQ in the U.S. last month. And since then, the update has made its way over to handsets in a few other countries.

Android 11 brings a bunch of goodies such as conversation bubbles, new camera features, and a revamped user interface. Of course, it also carries some under the hood optimizations.

Users can also expect the update to bring along the February or March security patch.

Do note that carriers do not guarantee that you’ll get the update on the planned date. Hence, if any issue pops up along the way, the update might get delayed.

Furthermore, while the plan to get Android 11 on the LG V60 ThinQ on March 31 was shared by TELUS, you can expect to see the update go live for units purchased from other carriers in the country at the same time.

So stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know the status of Android 11 for all eligible devices from LG.
